Resilient Reflections: November Cries Out for Resiliency!
November Cries Out for Resiliency!
Well, it has been a while since I wrote anything about resiliency and building resilience. After I found some facts (including fun facts) on the month of November, I thought it might be a good time to put a few things out there for people to think about as we move closer to winter.
November is considered the month of change. If you read my newsletter (hint, hint!), one of the “symbols” of November is that life is constantly changing. It is an important time to think of change and embrace it to have a fuller life. Change is just part of life, and you need to anticipate and accommodate it when it finally arrives to reduce any adverse results in your life.
This is what one might consider “resilience.”
November symbolism may also indicate that you may not like change heading in your direction, but you need to respond to it positively to better your life. You need to find out better ways to adapt, view change, and accept it to better your life.
This is what one might consider “resilience.”
I dug up 10 facts on ways to build resiliency and thought I would share them for you to consider during this time of change and all that has happened to us over the past almost 2 years now. I hope you get something from at least one of these:
Have the courage to be imperfect
Take time for yourself
Sign up for that course, join that club, do that yoga!
Be active every day in as many ways as you can
Spend time with people who make you feel good
Laugh out loud each day
Invite your neighbour over for a cup of tea, coffee or whatever turns your crank!
Do one thing now that you’ve been putting off
Focus more on things you can control
Remember, this too shall pass
Cheers to building resiliency in your life to be happier, healthier and more fun to be around!
